The TACT Framework Online

Are you doing qualitative research and unsure how to demonstrate its rigour? Are you supervising or teaching graduate students and seeking clear, practical ways to explain what research rigour means in qualitative inquiry? Are you a staff member working with interview or textual data and wondering whether your analysis is trustworthy?

This workshop introduces the TACT framework: Trustworthiness, Auditability, Credibility, and Transferability, as a clear and structured approach to ensuring and communicating the quality of qualitative inquiry and findings.

At the end of the workshop, you will be able to:

1. Define rigour in the context of qualitative research
2. Apply the TACT framework across all stages of a qualitative study
3. Demonstrate how to establish rigour in data analysis and reporting
4. Respond confidently to common critiques of qualitative research
5. Enhance the presentation of qualitative findings in theses, publications, reports, and peer reviews
