Re-imagining Inclusive Educational Practices Online

This workshop is grounded in the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL), providing participants with practical strategies to create inclusive learning environments that foster a sense of belonging and empower learner agency.

We will explore how to design learning experiences that are responsive to the diverse needs and backgrounds of all learners.

Key Areas Covered:

UDL Principles
We'll delve into the three core principles of UDL—Multiple Means of Representation, Multiple Means of Action & Expression, and Multiple Means of Engagement—and explore how to apply them in practice.

Creating Inclusive Assessments
Participants will learn how to design authentic and accessible assessments that accurately measure learning outcomes for all students. This includes exploring various assessment formats and technologies, such as multimedia projects, to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.

Fostering Learner Agency
We will explore strategies to empower learners to take ownership of their learning, including providing choice, promoting collaboration, and incorporating student voice in the curriculum.
